European sales representative LSC Control Systems

Australian subsidiary LSC Control Systems has been at the forefront of entertainment power distribution and lighting controls for 40 years, forging an enviable reputation for innovative products, consistent reliability and unequalled product performance.

With a significant presence in the European market, we are looking to appoint a local European Sales Representative to service the region in conjunction with our Australian-based sales team and international distributor network. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated for the right candidate.

Purpose of the Role:

To develop, monitor and continually improve the position of LSC Control Systems within the entertainment, architectural, film, TV and AV marketplaces, to maximise the sales of LSC products by:

  • Providing full technical and sales support to LSC’s network of appointed Distributors, Resellers and customers within Northern Europe and other areas when required.

  • Creating close contacts and working with consultants, specifiers, rental companies and venue operators, to position LSC as their preferred product;

  • Increase market awareness of LSC products and represented brands by coordinating and/or participating in international trade events, training and presentation seminars where required.

Duties:

External

  • Provide sales support, marketing collateral and technical information for customers

  • Provide technical and sales support for the distributor network

  • Act as the first point of call for help with product use or technical issues.

  • Support the Robe distribution network where it represents the LSC brand and ensure their sales and marketing teams are kept up to date with product knowledge whilst supporting them with customer visits, demonstrations and training as required.

  • Deliver informative technical and product presentation seminars to end-users, distributors and resellers as required.

  • Work in close collaboration with the International Sales Manager and provide reports as required.

  • Assist with sourcing content / case studies / images to provide the LSC marketing team for social media, press releases, etc.

  • Network with consultants, specifiers, production and rental companies, and venue operators to gain advance knowledge of upcoming projects with a view to have LSC products specified as their preferred option.

  • Visit dealers and consultants on a regular basis to keep the market abreast of LSC’s products and activity and to gain market intelligence such as upcoming or planned installations, market opportunities and competitor activities.

  • Monitor the marketplace for Tender requests, Expressions of Interest, etc. and help distributors to formulate and submit LSC proposals.

Internal

  • Engage in market research to inform company pricing strategies, ensuring the best possible outcome for LSC Control Systems & Robe Lighting.

  • Provide relevant industry information to the Product Development team, with a view to assist in shaping the future product strategy of LSC.

  • Maintain and monitor a range of demonstration stock.

The Person:

  • Must have sound technical knowledge of the entertainment industry with an existing network of key influencers.

  • Must be a highly motivated individual who can undertake and deliver results with minimal supervision.

  • Must work well within a diverse team environment.

  • Must have sound electronic technical knowledge and be able to carry out basic troubleshooting / rectification activities.

  • Must have good hands-on skills with entertainment lighting and AV protocols (eg DMX, sACN) and networking systems.

  • Must be an effective communicator, both internally with the team and externally with customers, distributors and prospects.

  • Must have good hands-on skills with PC-based packages, particularly Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Must have a current European driver’s licence.
